FULL RESERVE BOARD SENT TO SENATE;
C.S. Hamlin Appointed at Last Minute in Place of Simmons, Who Declined.

Washington, June 15--The long-waited full list of members of the Federal reserve Board was sent to the Senate to-day by the President....The board, as completed, will consist of the following:...A. C. Miller of San Francisco, ten years....Adolph Casper Miller was born in San Francisco Jan. 7, 1866. He took the degree of A. B. from the University of California in 1887 and his M. A. at Harvard the following year. In 1896 and 1896 [sic] he studied at the University of Paris and the University of Munich. Mr. Miller began his career as an economist in 1889 as an instructor at Harvard. He became Assistant Professor of History and Politics at the University of California In 1900, and 1901 became Associate Professor of History and Finance at Cornell. The next year he took the Chair of Professor of Finance at Chicago University. He remained there one year and then returned to the University of California as Professor of Economics and Commerce.

Last Survivor of the Original Federal Reserve Board, 87, Was Chicago Professor
Special to The New York Times.
WASHINGTON, Feb. 11 \emdash Adolph Caspar Miller, last surviving member of the original Federal Reserve Board and a former professor of economics, died today at his home here after a stroke. His age was 87.
Mr. Miller, who in 1913 served as an assistant to the Secretary of Interior, was named to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System by President Wilson at the system's inception in 1914. He was on the board until his retirement in 1936, serving under Presidents Harding, Coolidge, Hoover and Roosevelt.
The other "charter" members of the board were William Gibbs McAdoo, who was Secretary of the Treasury; John Skelton Williams, C. S. Hamlin, F. A. Delano, T. M. Warburg, and W. P. G. Harding.
At his retirement, Mr. Miller was chairman of the building committee for the Federal Reserve Building.
Born in San Francisco, he attended the University of California, Harvard University and the Universities of Paris and Munich. Later he served as an instructor of economics at Harvard, Professor of Economics and Commerce at the University of California, Associate Professor of Political Economy and Finance at Cornell and Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago.
He was the author of many papers on finance and banking that were published in economic and financial journals.
Surviving is his widow, the former Mary Sprague of Chicago, whom he married in 1895.
